Notice to Members regarding Pro Shop

Dear Members,

After careful consideration and in line with our strategic plan for 2022-2026, the Board of Directors has agreed with Teed Up Management Pty Ltd to mutually end our professional services contract, effective 31 January 2024.

This is consistent with the very successful Board decisions in prior years to take in-house the operating of the weddings/functions/conference business and the Café and is part of our ongoing commitment to improving the golfer experience and meeting the goals set out in our strategic plan.

The change will enable us to provide an in-house, consistent customer-focused golf operations service, ensuring a seamless golfer experience for Members and visitors from the moment they arrive at Long Reef to the time they leave after enjoying our great golf and hospitality.

The Board would like to express our sincere gratitude to Teed Up Management, in particular Directors Michael Mosher and Bede Hendren plus of course, Head Professional Danny Vera for their services to the Club over the past 16 years. Their dedication and commitment have greatly contributed to the success and growth of our golfing community.

This change has been made possible by our Member’s ongoing support and the Club’s strong financial performance enabling us to invest in the Golf Shop, retail offering and latest technology.

In response to the consistent feedback in the Members survey, we will be able to integrate operations with our kitchens and provide enhanced food and beverage options for both Members and guests before, during, and after golf.

As we know, the Clubhouse is dilapidated and requires renovations in the coming years and the large floor space of the Golf Shop provides flexibility to temporarily or permanently relocate some Clubhouse services and amenities.

The agreement has been made on fair commercial terms respecting our long term relationship with Teed-up but also ensuring the Club is well positioned to capture the upside from the integration of operations into our existing infrastructure. The Club will be in a position to make the long term investments and enhancements not available to Teed-up or any other contracted service provider.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support as we embark on this exciting evolution. We are confident that our commitment to providing exceptional golf operations and services will result in an even more enjoyable and satisfactory experience for all our Members and visitors.

Over the coming five months, the Board and Management team will provide further details on the structure of the Golf Shop from 1 February 2024 and services the Club will be providing. Nothing changes for now, “business as usual” as we map out the details on the way forward.
